  • Super Bowl XLI = Best Super Bowl Ever

    Why?  Because:
    • Colts went to the Super Bowl
    • We went to an all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink Super Bowl party.  As in, all you can DRINK!
    • When the opening kickoff was run back for a touchdown, our ticket money was refunded.  Meaning:  we drank all we could for FREE!
    • Kevin and I opened a SportsBook, since we got to the bar at noon, and the game didn't start til way later.  We only lost $6, and that was thanks to a last minute $6 bet on the coin toss.
    • Colts WON the Super Bowl!  (I am now a Colts fan, by association, because of Brian.)
Here's a picture of me and Kristen with the Miller Lite girl:

That's all for now, I had to gank that from her MySpace.  Meanwhile, the last two weekends (including my bookie napkin) are nicely documented on Chris's blog.  Be sure to look at his picture of how Jon got a black eye from the ball during our football game.  It's pretty accurate.

  • October in pictures

First weekend in October - Brian, Mike, Kristen and Big Bobby drive down to SD to hang out.  This is us at Sinbad's.
    +
Second weekend - Took Kevin to Laughlin for his birthday.  Kevin driving, me holding the iTrip in its Sweet Spot

The jacuzzi spa in our jacuzzi spa suite

Third weekend - Santos flew down (thanks to Microsoft) for the UCSD Job Fair.  Brian decided to come back to visit too.  We went to a wine bar in Hillcrest first, before they had to leave to pick Santos up.

    Drinks at Dussini

Santos wearing Ty's clothes, because Ty decided he was too cool to come out with us.

Driving to the sports bar for football Sunday.  If you thought they were uncomfortable on the way there...

On the way home from football Sunday, with one extra man in the backseat.  I was supposed to sit on someone's lap to make it less crowded, but I had to drive.  Haha.

    Wiffle Ball

Last weekend in October - Zac's last weekend in San Diego.  I took the train down Thursday, and we watched the movers take all his stuff away on Friday, while watching Grease.  For our last Friday night, we went to the Cask Room.  On the walk back to the car, Zac got pushed into a sign.

    Halloween Party Saturday

Scott, Brian and Kevin (Pirate, Firefighter, Borracho)

Sunday aftermath - Zac and Ty drove up for Roscoe's.

Zac explaining the painting his office people made for him.  This is right before we said goodbye forever.

Then we had to watch the Colts play before we went to Oktoberfest.

    The End.

  • Random Update

    • I went to San Diego last weekend.  It was Kevin's birthday this week, and I'm taking him on vacation this weekend.  Zac took us to this nice bar downtown, in Gaslamp.  He leaves for Seattle in two weeks.  We also went to Sinbad's, which reminded me of that one time when I went with the Taus and Alpha Psi Rho guys, and we couldn't find it... I think I accidentally drove everyone to downtown instead.
    • We had the 10 year anniversary party at my old job last Thursday.  It was fun, everyone had a good time.  But, I lost my princess ring in the process.  How sad huh.  I'm going through withdrawal, I've had that ring ever since the 70's disco party.
    • No more new job - the owners took all the money and left the state.  It was scandalous, but in the end, it sucks because they bounced my first (and last) paycheck, and now I have to find new work.
    • The floors in the house are all done now, which is nice, except it's going to take me forever to move all my crap back into my room.
    • I can't wait to carve pumpkins for Halloween.  Mostly cuz I want to roast the pumpkin seeds.
    • My car is about to hit the 100,000 mile mark.  Time for a new car...  Or maybe I should start taking the train down to San Diego again.

  • Best Birthday Yet!

Ok so it's been awhile since my birthday (about a month, actually) but still, here are some pictures.
First we went on the cruise.  With one of my friends (and one of hers)...

...and four of Kevin's.  But that's cool because they're my friends too, right?  Right.  Once again, booze in hand.

    We went to Ensenada...

And then we had to walk back to get my i.d. while everyone else partied it up at Papas & Beer.  Needless to say, by the time we got back, I was in no mood to walk all the way back into town.  That night was formal night... which we kicked off with a free vodka tasting and then followed up with the captain's cocktail party, where I got carded again.  Kevin (my victim) ran to the room to get it for me.  Zac asked me to dance because we were tricked into thinking we'd get a prize.  Here he is shaking his moneymaker:
We spent a lot of our time at the piano bar.  I really like this picture:

Anyways.  One weekend later, I celebrated my birthday with Kevin, and he took me to Disneyland!  We ate at the Blue Bayou for dinner.  I look about 18 in this picture.  Anyway, the food was really good:

I hate this ride!  I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack every time I ride it but Kevin always makes me go on it.  So does Alison.

They have wine tasting at California Adventure, so we did that.  Our wine connoisseur ended up giving us twice as much wine because it was a little slow.  So we got a little intoxicated.  Well, I did, anyway.  At the end of the night, we got waffle cones, which we never did when we had passes because Kevin never let me.  I think it's cuz it was my birthday.  The next day, one day before my real birthday, my family came over to eat, and Kevin came too.  Later on I got my present (as if a day at Disneyland wasn't enough!):

Inside was a Tiffany bracelet.  How cute huh :)  You'd think it couldn't get any better, but then!  The next day, my real birthday, Esther took me out to lunch in Seal Beach.  Here's me with our yummy dessert and a glass of moscato.  She got me a great gift too - an iTrip for my nano!  I've only been wanting one for a year!

So that's it.  I was supposed to do something with my Tau sisters but everyone's busy.  I've just been working and going to school.  I'm planning the 10 year anniversary party for my old office in Santa Monica, which has been both stressful and time consuming because of the budget and the drive.  But it should all be worth it.
